VOSIS is a synthesizer that merges the audification of greyscale pixel data with a variety of image filters. It serves as a valuable tool for image sonification, visual music composition, and innovative sound design. Through the audification of pixel luminance values, intricate shape-timbre relationships are established. The control over pixel scan rate based on note intervals, octaves, and scales results in a diverse range of pitches across different regions of the image. Additionally, the ADSR envelope feature enables users to interpret images as a sequence of non-linear pitches with various wavetable/timbre options.
